Incredibles 2 was one of the most awaited films this year. Not just in the category of animated films but people were rooting for this new film for more than a decade now. The film was written and directed by brad Bird, the maker of the first Incredibles film. Here are five interesting things about Incredibles 2 which you probably didn’t know:
- Released early
The film was originally scheduled for theatrical release on June 21, 2019, but the film was moved earlier to June 15, 2018, while its former 2019 release date was taken by Toy Story 4, which was lagging in production compared to this film. Pixar projects work as a single unit team and they often shift releases here and there for accommodating all the films. - Elastigirl powers
In the early production time the powers of Elastigirl became highly controversial. A lot of people said that she had become monotonous. Although we saw her with a lot of action in this film, earlier her existence did become quite controversial. This is a fact a lot of fans do not know about.

Pixar has never compromised with the quality of animation and graphics in its films. With the first part of Incredibles there wasn’t really any kind of complain associated with it animation. Bird however has promised better animation and greater skills in this film. If you haven’t watched it yet then this should be tempting enough.
- Longest awaited sequel
Incredibles 2 was the longest awaited sequel any animated film has ever released. Finding Dory couldn’t take the record with just one year gap. It took 13 years to make a new sequel of Finding Nemo but with a sequel of Incredibles it took 14 long years. Quite interesting, isn’t it?
- Point to point continuation
In the second part of this film it continued right from where it was left in the first part. There was no missing link. That is very helpful for the fans considering how long it took for a new sequel to show up finally. It is a lesser known fact that continuation is a very important aspect of animation.
